Dr. Marion Divers joins the Drummond Carpenter Team in Pittsburgh, PA!
Marion obtained her PhD from the University of Pittsburgh in Geology, with a focus on Watershed Science and Urban Hydrology. Her graduate research focused on polluted urban streams and groundwater interactions. Marion analyzed the stable isotope ratios of nitrogen and oxygen in nitrate to determine the sources and dynamics of this ubiquitous pollutant including the proportion sourced from atmospheric deposition and leaking sewer infrastructure. This research interest led Marion to pursue a career in urban watershed resources. She spent the last several years working on projects in and around Pittsburgh. Marion’s specialties include nutrient fate and transport, groundwater-rock interactions, water quality, infrastructure and watershed hydrologic interactions, intersections with public policy, technical communication, and water management.
