DC welcomes Lauren Mayou as an Intern-Environmental Engineer.


Please join us in welcoming Lauren Mayou as an Intern-Environmental Engineer. Ms. Mayou is an undergraduate student at the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering pursuing a degree in Environmental Engineering. Her primary areas of interest include hydrology, environmental modeling, water resources engineering, and environmental assessment and remediation. She is currently participating in research with Dr. Ahmadisharaf with funding provided by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection and the Computational Hydraulics International Grant. This research consists of an environmental assessment and feasibility project pertaining to the restoration of Lake Martin. Lauren is also highly involved in several on-campus organizations including Tau Beta Pi, American Society of Civil Engineers, and Florida Association of Environmental Professionals (FAEP). Her first project consists of modifying a central Florida groundwater flow model to support a key springs protection project.
